Cell Services
Cell Services forms part of the London Research Institute and provides services to both the Lincoln's Inn Fields and Clare Hall sites via the transport links. We offer a wide range of services for the LRI researcher including;
Cell Production - With an ever expanding cell bank, we are able to provide LRI scientists with all their tissue culture needs as either frozen vials, growing cultures or pelleted cells, all of which are routinely screened for the presence of mycoplasma.
We realize that cell authenticity is of paramount importance for the researcher, as such we have incorporated STR Profiling into our already stringent quality control procedure, thereby continuing to provide LRI scientists with validated cell lines for their research.
Monoclonal Antibody Production - We have an extensive catalogue of purified antibodies to offer along with supernatant production and serum purification. Protein A and G Sepharose are also available.
Mycoplasma Testing - We offer a full screening service for all LRI scientists using Fluorescent staining, Agar Culture and MycodetectTM an ultra-sensitive PCR-based detection system which offers the ultimate in detection technology coupled with improved detection time.
Media Production - We continue to provide a specialised media service, combining quality with an ability to provide a bespoke product. Please contact us for your individual needs and we will happily prepare media to your exact requirements.
Our Plate Pouring service offers a variety of antibiotic selective plates thereby saving the researcher valuable time.
Washroom Services (Clare Hall) - this forms an integral part of our service, providing sterile fine and heavy glassware, autoclaving solutions, media and equipment for the researcher as well as laboratory waste collection.
