New LRI EMBO YIPS

EMBO (the European Molecular Biology Organisation) have selected three London Research Institute Scientists to join the EMBO Young investigator Programme.

Mark Petronczki, head of the Cell Division and Aneuploidy Lab based at Clare Hall, Barry Thompson, head of the Epithelial Biology Lab, and Helen Walden, head of the Protein Structure Function Lab both at Lincoln’s Inn Fields were awarded the highly competitive EMBO Young Investigator Programme.

 The EMBO Young Investigator Programme is highly prestigious and provides a comprehensive array of benefits, which include networking, training, mentorship by EMBO Members and funding. EMBO acknowledged 22 European scientists for their excellent research. “The EMBO Young Investigators have the potential to be tomorrow’s life science leaders,” says Gerlind Wallon, EMBO Deputy Director and manager of the Young Investigator Programme. “They are already active contributors to science in Europe and by supporting them, EMBO wants to highlight both their work and their potential.” [read full press release].
