How to Apply
1. Decide which research area and associated projects you are most interested in
We have 14 summer studentship projects to choose from this year. These projects are divided into two broad research area groups:
Group B: Developmental Signalling and Biology
Group A: Molecular and Cellular Biology
Students are invited to apply for a studentship in one of the two research area groups. To help us invite students interested in all our summer student projects to interview, we ask applicants to choose a research group and up to three projects within that group that they are most interested in.
Your preferred project choices are not final, but your research area is. If you are invited for interview, you will have the opportunity to hear about, and apply for, alternative projects in the research area you have chosen.
See details of all the Group B and Group A summer student projects available for 2010.
2. Complete the online Summer Studentship Application Form
Applications for our 2010 PhD Programme have now closed.
Please note that unfinished forms cannot be saved and will be lost if you close the browser window before submitting. We therefore suggest that you prepare answers to the application form before completing the form online. To help you do this, you can download a PDF example of the online form.
3. Ask your referees to submit their references for you
Direct your referees to the Summer Student 2010 - References form (see Associated Documents on the right) and ask them to complete it and return it by email to lristudentships@cancer.org.uk.
Please ask your referees to return their forms as soon as possible and no later than Monday 1 March 2010.
