Group Leader Opportunities

Smad2 in microtubules (image produced by Julie Batut in the Developmental Signalling Lab)The London Research Institute (LRI) encourages pursuit of ambitious and longer term research approaches at the highest level.

We are seeking innovative scientists to establish independent research programmes at either the London LRI Lincoln's Inn Fields or Clare Hall Laboratories and to contribute to the Institute's vibrant scientific programme.

LRI scientists are funded directly through the Institute's core grant from Cancer Research UK.

Support for new scientists includes a substantial laboratory space and equipment package, funding for personnel (research fellows, graduate students and technical support) and laboratory consumables. Junior appointments are initially for seven years, with consideration for promotion to Senior Group Leader in the sixth year. Suitably experienced applicants may be appointed at a senior level.

For 2008 recruitment, we are interested in scientists working in the following areas:

Genome Integrity and Cell Cycle - Group Leader opportunities at Clare Hall Laboratories
Biology of Tissues and Tumours, and Cell Regulatory Mechanisms - Group Leader Opportunities at Lincoln's Inn Field Laboratories
