Administration

LRI administration is headed by the Director of Operations, Ava Yeo, and is comprised of several departments:

LRI Admin Team

Provides support to the Director of Operations and Director of the LRI, and also provide: Software training, administrative support for the Graduate Student PhD Programme, administrative support for Postdoctoral Research Fellows, LRI event organisation, Database development and support, Support for Technology Core Facility Heads, HR Advisory Support.

LRI Research Administration Team

Provides day to day administrative support for the laboratories, such as diary management, travel booking and expenses. 

Lab Services and Support

Provides day to day practical support for all laboratories, such as organising space for labs, providing containment facilities, washroom and lab aide service, and in house electronic, electrical and mechanical repair of lab equipment.

Health and Safety

The Health and Safety team at the LRI ensure the provision of a safe working environment for all LRI staff, students and visitors, to ensure that all LRI activities are undertaken in a safe manner and that LRI is compliant with safety legislation.

IT

Provides full IT support to the sites, including desktop and server support. 

Finance

Works with the Director of Operations to set the budget, and also assists in smooth payment of expenses and invoices. 

Grants

The Grants team provides advice on grants receivable for the LRI. 

Property Services

Property Services provides support and advice to the LRI on all aspects of property related projects, services and facilities management. 

Stores

There are two science stores sites, one at LIF and one at Clare Hall. They hold a stock of laboratory supplies, gas cylinders, cardice and some cleaning materials and stationery, all of which are ordered through Agresso, the online ordering system.  A van service operates between the two sites to facilitate easy deliveries.
